Genomic sequences are stored in databases around the world, generated by dedicated teams working on the frontlines of infectious disease surveillance. Yet many of these teams lack the tools needed to analyse and act on their data. Whether investigating a foodborne outbreak across borders, detecting an emerging pathogen signal in wastewater, or tracking the spread of an antimicrobial resistance across a region, timely insights are critical.
The Global Pathogen Analysis Platform (GPAP) is being built to close that gap, providing teams everywhere with the tools they need to transform their data into answers.
The platform is supported by the Novo Nordisk Foundation and headed by:

01
Access powerful tools to detect, track, and analyse pathogens, without needing a bioinformatics team behind you. Standardised, automated pipelines handle the complexity, so you can focus on the results and the decisions that follow.
02
GPAP's AI is purpose-built for infectious disease genomics and transparent by design, so you always understand what the data is telling you and why.
03
Whether you work in human health, animal health, or environmental surveillance, GPAP is designed for you. Because infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance can emerge and spread across sectors, GPAP supports integrated analysis across One Health domains.
04
The platform is free to use and built on open-source foundations. It exists to serve the people generating genomic data, not commercial interests.
05
GPAP will never store your data without explicit consent. You choose what to share, with whom, and when, maintaining full control over your data.
GPAP is being designed alongside the people who will use it. Public health professionals, researchers, laboratory scientists, decision-makers, and technology experts from ten global partner and co-creator organizations are working together to ensure the platform reflects real-world needs and challenges.
